Louise is a chemical engineer with 20 years experience in air quality working for both private and public sectors in New Zealand, Australia and the United Kingdom. Louise was the Ministry for the Environment’s air quality specialist for over seven years during which time she assisted with the introduction, implementation and review of the national environmental standards for air quality.
Louise was the key Ministry contact for regulating wood burners and, in partnership with Environment Canterbury and Nelson City Council conducted the first national wood burner audit in 2006/07.
Louise’s industrial experience was gained as a consultant working in New Zealand, the United Kingdom and Australia. Major NZ consents include six Anchor milk processing facilities in the Waikato, National Can, AC Hatrix and Mobil NZ.
